Membership

Present membership numbers more than 400 families. We have students in our Hebrew School and additional children enrolled in our K'tanim nursery school programs. Our membership is diverse and consists of the traditional family unit, single parent families, singles, the newly married, empty nesters and retirees. The majority of our congregation resides in Hamden, North Haven and Cheshire, with the balance from their neighboring communities. We are an egalitarian conservative synagogue with demonstrated abilities and the willingness to provide programs designed for today's changing families. We welcome as members all people of the Jewish faith who are committed to our conservative traditions. Dues are set annually by the Board of Directors and the Budget Committee. The tuition for Hebrew School is also determined by the Board of Directors in conjunction with the Hebrew School Board of Education.
